B.       Resolution No. 2016-067 - Confirming Engineer’s Report and Ordering the Levy of Assessments Within the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency Consolidated Capital Assessment District No. 2, Ordering Implementation of the Project and the Issuance and Sale of Bonds, and Authorizing and Directing Related Actions

 

Executive Director, Richard Johnson gave a brief presentation recapping the June 13th Board Meeting action on the approval of Resolution No. 2016-066 and then introduced Tim Bryan, Crowe Horwath LLP, who spoke regarding its processing and tabulation of the ballots, as well as presented the ballot tabulation results (attached hereto). Resolution No. 2016-067 was unanimously approved.

 

 

Motion by Director Jennings and seconded by Director Kennedy to approve Resolution No. 2016-067.

Dear Mr. Harris:

 

We have completed the procedures outlined in our engagement letter dated March 4, 2016 and

discussed during our presentation to the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (SAFCA)

Board of Directors at the June 13, 2016 SAFCA Board of Directors meeting.

 

The purpose of this engagement was solely to provide ballot tabulation services for the

Consolidated Capital Assessment District 2 measure proposed by SAFCA.

We have tabulated the following voting results based on the weighted proportion of valid ballots

in support of and in opposition to the Consolidated Capital Assessment District 2 measure

proposed by SAFCA:

 

Total Ballots Tabulated: 45,426

Total Response Rate: 28.34%

Total Invalid Ballots: 999

Valid Ballots in Support (weighted by assessed value): 74 .97%

Valid Ballots in Opposition (weighted by assessed value): 25 .03%

 

Our engagement was limited in scope and was confined to the procedures outlined in our

engagement letter dated March 4, 2016. This report should be solely used for the intent of the

original requestors of this report. Using this report for anything other than its original intent

could mislead the readers.
